FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does tuition work?

Tuition is billed every Monday, for that week; all accounts not at a zero balance by Friday will be assessed a late payment fee. If your balance becomes thirty days past due, then TBDC can suspend care until it is paid in full.

When it comes to payment, families have a few options:

  1. Credit card (swipe at the front computer)

  2. Check (submit in the check box)

  3. Cash (give to an administrative staff)

  4. Automatic withdrawal (credit card or checking account, see administrative staff for paperwork)

Does TBDC close for the holidays? What about snow days?

Yes, TBDC is closed on only the major holidays (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July). It’s likely that TBDC will also have reduced hours on the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. Never has there been a snow day in TBDC history. We are always here for your family!

What is TBDC’s health & illness policy?

If your child is well enough to be at school, then he or she is ought to be well enough to go outside and participate in all regularly scheduled activities. For the safety and well-being of the TBDC community, it may not be appropriate for a child to remain at school if there are:

  • significant changes in activity level or behavior,

  • symptoms of illness (coughing, breathing difficulties, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc.),

  • comments or complaints from the child which indicate illness, or

  • a need for more sleep than usual.

If a child exhibits one symptom (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, extreme coughing) at school, then the family will be notified immediately, but not required to pick-up the child. If the one symptom worsens, or another one presents itself, then the child will be excluded from school.

All TBDC students are required to be fully immunized, according to the schedule set by the Center for Disease Control.
